Wregent Plaza Hotel in Bohol

When we went to Bohol, it was the Sandugo festival, so most of the hotels are fully booked and we have no choice but to stay in this hotel because this is the street where the parade will pass by.

I have called up this hotel several times before our arrival confirming of the room and pick up from the airport. I even called them up a day before we arrive in bohol, so i was confident enough that they will be there to fetch us.

Good thing, we have coordinated with the tourism office of our visit there. They decided to welcome us in the airport and to assist us to find the van that will fetch us. To our surprise, the hotel van never arrived in the airport! Their reason: the van has to go somewhere important. How crazy is that? I think the management lacks coordination with his staff or its just that the management sucks! big time!

So, it is the tourism officers that brought us to the hotel. when we arrived, there are no rooms available and they do not know when the people will be checking out. The hotel wanted us to wait in the lobby until somebody check out. Good thing Ms. jojo, the tourism officer helped us settle this problem.

The room is quite ok. With a cable tv, aircon and ref. pretty cozy but no view, coz when you peek out the window, the hotel signage will be blocking half the window! haha! can things get any worst?!?

a day before our flight, i got an accident just a few steps away from the hotel. Yes, a stupid one. I sprained my ankle that it swelled and make it impossible for me to walk. The kind guard and bellboy are very helpful. In my size, they were able to carry me back to the hotel.

the niece of the hotel's owner was there, and she offered us a ride to the hospital, then left us there. Luckily there was no fractured bones, but returning to the hotel is agony! i had to ride a bumpy tricycle back to the hotel, every second of that trip is killing me, i just wish the hotel was able to wait for us or show a little sympathy ... I am not asking for them to pay for the emergency expenses, just be there and assist us on our way back. But nah.... they didnt even care.

Good thing, on the day of our flight, the hotel van was there.

I can say, during my stay in this hotel, the staff are very nice, very accomodating and friendly. But it is the management of the hotel that will bring it down. Sayang. if you wish to stay in a hotel in tagbilaran, i think it is better to stay in the metro center, though i was not able to stay in that place (fully booked na), their room accomodations are inclusive of breakfast by only adding around 300 pesos per day compared to the wregent plaza hotel. its a bigger hotel and a nicer one too. (i know, we had our first lunch in that hotel - metro center)
